Dr. Chong Luo joined Microsoft Research Asia in 2003 and is now a Principal Researcher at the Intelligent Multimedia Group (IMG). She is an adjunct professor and a Ph.D. advisor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), China. She received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2012, M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore in 2002 and B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Fudan University, China in 2000.

Her current research interests include computer vision, cross-modality multimedia analysis and processing, and multimedia communications. In particular, she is interested in visual object tracking, audio-visual video analysis, and hybrid digital-analog transmission of wireless video. She served as the Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for IEEE Infocom 2011-2018, as the track co-chair for IEEE ChinaSIP 2015 and as the local chair for ICME 2019. She has been serving as a member of the Program Committees (PC) for CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, and AAAI since 2017/2018. She is currently a member of the Multimedia Systems and Applications (MSA) Technical Committee (TC) of the IEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) society. She is an IEEE senior member.
