Hi! I am a Researcher in the Systems and Networking group at Microsoft Research (Redmond). I enjoy building Systems & working on research problems in Operating Systems, Distributed Systems, and Networking . I joined MSR in Oct 2012 after finishing my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University where I worked with Dave Andersen.
The goal of my research is to design, build, and evaluate scalable networked systems and protocols that are robust to failures. My work so far has looked at network protocols within large datacenters, and distributed systems & protocols that are flexible to support a variety of application requirements (e.g high-performance, availability, consistency, durability) on a range of hardware configurations.
Earlier still, I completed my M.Eng. in CS from Cornell University. I worked with Mahesh Balakrishnan and Prof. Ken Birman in designing a reliable multicast protocol for scalable process group communication.
I am in the process of moving my webpage from CMU to MSR. As of now, for a detailed description of my projects and papers, please visit my CMU homepage.
