I did a PhD in Australia at James Cook University with Prof. Bob Pressey, looking at improved methods to schedule conservation actions through time. I then joined the Global Mammal Assessment program, the IUCN Red List partner for mammals, working on future scenarios of mammal conservation, global biodiversity indicators, optimal re-assessment of species in the Red List, and different aspects of population biology and macro-ecology of mammals. I joined the Microsoft Computational Ecology and Environmental Science group in September 2012 to continue my work on global biodiversity scenarios as well as starting new projects bringing together ecology, technology and crowdsourcing to address scientific questions and conservation challenges.
