Innovation Day 2010

During this year’s event, Microsoft Research Asia will highlight how innovative technologies transform the way people work, entertain and live, and create a better future. The celebration will showcase the future landscape of the world's technologies, highlighting Microsoft Research's strong tradition of pushing the boundaries of innovation, its unique research environment and culture, and its effort to define the future of computing.

Microsoft Research Asia Innovation Day 2010 will be held on October 19th, 2010 in the Microsoft (China) Shanghai Technology Park. A total of 22 demos will be presented by researchers from Microsoft Research Asia and five other Microsoft Research Labs from around the world and other thought leaders from premier universities and research institutes in the Asia-Pacific region. The celebration will showcase the future landscape of the world's technologies – highlighting Microsoft Research's strong tradition of pushing the boundaries of innovation, its unique research environment and culture and its effort to define the future of computing.
During this year’s event, Microsoft Research Asia will highlight how innovative technologies transform the way people work, entertain and live and create a better future. The demos will be grouped under the following themes: Client plus Cloud, Natural User Interface, Computer Technology Contributes to Human Society.

In addition, partners from multiple universities and research institutes in the Asia-Pacific region will also demonstrate the latest results from their joint research projects with Microsoft Research Asia – underscoring the lab's commitment to fostering talent and to helping build healthy IT ecosystems in the region. Its academic environment and strong work culture has made Microsoft Research Asia a strong and committed partner of universities in the Asia-Pacific region.
