eHeritage—Where Past is Future

eHeritage InitiativeOn July 1–2, 2008, Microsoft Research Asia launched its pioneer eHeritage workshop. the event brought together more than 40 faculty members and researchers from various disciplines, including computer vision, computer graphics, signal processing, speech, as well as communications and the World Wide Web.

The eHeritage initiative was coined and spearheaded by Microsoft Research Asia in response to the burgeoning field of integrating computing technologies into research to aid preservation and representation of cultural and natural heritage.
