Connecting China Human Computer Interaction with the World
March 25th, 2011
Lecture Hall, 2/F, FIT Building, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China

The field of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) has been playing an increasingly important role in computing and in our society. Globally and in China locally, HCI is one of the fastest-growing research areas in academia and industry. Following the success of the 2010 China Symposium on Human Computer Interaction, the 2011 symposium aims to continue catalyzing research connections and exchanges for the HCI research community in China, as well as exposing the local community, especially students, to some of the international leading research.
The one-day symposium will consist of 5 distinguished speaker talks given by internationally recognized researchers from around the world who have made strong impacts to the HCI community; introductory presentations of several local HCI research labs; and poster sessions to showcase local HCI research.
Due to limited seating, it is advised to register for the symposium in advance by contacting ACM SIGCHI CHINA CHAPTER at acm.sigchi.china.chapter@iel.iscas.ac.cn. Please send your name, company/school/organization, email address, and student status. The registration fee for the symposium will be 200 RMB (paid at the door), 100 RMB registration for CCF members, and free registration for ACM SIGCHI / SIGCHI China Chapter members and full-time students.
The 2011 China Symposium on Human Computer Interaction is co-organized by SIGCHI China Chapter, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Microsoft Research Asia, and Peking University. The agenda are as follows:
