The format for the AWM JMM Workshop has changed starting this year. The workshop now focuses on a single area of mathematics and highlights the work of women in this area, inviting both senior and junior researchers to speak. This year Number Theory is the topic, and we built on the work of the WIN Network to bring together a strong program representing some recent work by female researchers and collaboration groups in number theory. Many of the talks in this year’s program represent work which was done by the collaboration groups formed at WIN2 at Banff International Research Station 2011, many of which will appear in the WIN2 Proceedings Volume.
