With a proliferation of distributed systems in research and production groups, we have devised the WiDS ecosystem of technologies to optimize the development and testing process for such systems. WiDS provides a simple and powerful API set for rapidly developing a full-functioned distributed system, as well as a simulation runtime and a deploy runtime that make it easy for users to test the system in either a simulated or a deployment environment, without having to change their code. It is easy and efficient for WiDS users to develop a distributed algorithm and test its correctness in various environments.
