Attendees at the NTT/Microsoft Research Asia joint workshop in speech processing, January 2012Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), the largest telecommunications company in Asia, held a joint workshop with Microsoft Research Asia in speech processing from January 19 to 20, 2012, in Beijing. Eight senior researchers from NTT Communication Science Laboratories and more than 30 participants from Microsoft Research Asia, led by Frank Soong, principal researcher and manager of the speech group, presented their latest research in speech recognition, enhancement, and synthesis and discussed challenges and opportunities for future collaboration. This was one of Microsoft Research Asia's first joint events with an academic industry partner.
