In response to President Barack Obama’s national initiative to focus on science, technology, engineering, and math, the Games for Learning Institute (G4LI), a joint research endeavor of Microsoft Research, New York University, and other universities, is featuring a new game daily on its Web site. Education and Scholarly Communication collaboration projects in Microsoft's External Research division focus on enriching educational technologies and the scholarly communication lifecycle with software and services, so that data and information flow in a coordinated and seamless fashion.
