The WorldWide Telescope Academic Program is a result of contributions from many astronomers, researchers, educators and software engineers building research and educational outreach programs around WorldWide Telescope.
Many of these academic programs build upon the partnerships developed for the initial release of WorldWide Telescope.
Global Partnerships
Simplified Chinese
The Simplified Chinese user interface (UI) is enabled in WorldWide Telescope (WWT) through the collaboration between Microsoft Research WWT Academic Program and National Astronomical Observatory of Chinese Academic of Sciences (NAOC). Special thanks goes to Chenzhou Cui who took part in the translation and validation of the Simplified Chinese user interface of WorldWide Telescope.
German
The German user interface is enabled in WorldWide Telescope (WWT) by the contribution of Dr. Ingo Laue, Microsoft Academic Developer Evangelist in Germany, and Dr. Christian Kaiser, former professional astronomer and enthusiastic amateur.
Spanish
The Spanish user interface (UI) is enabled in WorldWide Telescope (WWT)
through the collaboration between Microsoft Research WWT Academic Program
and the Facultad de Ciencias Astronómicas y Geofísicas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina. Special thanks goes to Guillermo Bosch, Roberto Venero, Erica Scorians and Melisa Keller who took part in the translation and validation of the Spanish user interface of WorldWide Telescope.
