Hotel Reservations

 

ICME’07 will be held at Beijing International Convention Center (BICC). Hotel accommodations are provided by Crowne Plaza Hotel Park View Wuzhou (the host hotel) and Beijing Continental Grand Hotel , both are adjacent to BICC. A limited number of guest rooms are reserved at reduced rates. The deadline for room reservation is June 1st. Reservation may end sooner if our reserved rooms are booked out.

 

Cancellation of reservation before June 1st, 2007 will have no penalty. Cancellation after June 1st will result in a charge of the first night room rate.

From Beijing Capital International Airport to Conference Hotels

 

Both Crowne Plaza Hotel Park View Wuzhou and  Beijing Continental Grand Hotel are located at the intersection of Fourth Ring North Rd. and the central axes of Beijing City, in the commercial area of the Asian Games Village. They are 20 Km to the west of Capital International Airport, 9 Km to the North of Tian’anmen Square, and 10 Km to the east of Summer Palace.

By Taxi: A taxi rank is immediately outside the Airport International Terminal. The trip to the hotel is approximately RMB￥70 (~US$10).

By Shuttle-Bus: There are several Airport-City Shuttle-Bus Stops outside the Domestic Terminals. Please take the line from Airport to Zhong-Guan-Cun, you should get off on An-Hui-Qiao Bus Stop, and the Beijing Continental Grand Hotel is located on the northwest of An-Hui-Qiao. The price of the bus ticket is RMB￥16 (~US$2) per person one way.

Travel Documents

 

If you are a non-Chinese citizen, you need to apply for a Business Visit (F) Visa at your local Chinese Embassy or Consulate.

 

Requirements:

1. Your valid & actual passport which must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity with at least one blank visa page in it.

2. One completed Visa Application Form (Q1) with one passport photo (black & white or color is acceptable).

3. An invitation letter from the host company or unit in China, or a letter from your company.
4. An applicant who was born in China is required to submit his/her Chinese passport or last foreign passport with a Chinese visa when he or she applies for a Chinese visa with a new foreign passport. 

How to apply

1. You must come to the visa office of the Embassy or Consulate -General in the consular jurisdiction in which you live to submit the application; or

2. If you cannot come personally, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to come to the visa office of the Embassy or Consulate -General in the consular jurisdiction in which you live for the application process.

·         Mailed applications are not acceptable and will be refused. Mail back service is available(make sure you read INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION MAIL SERVICE) .

·         No appointment is required.

·         If the visa application form is not filled out completely, correctly and legibly, this can cause a delay in processing or the denial of visa.

 

Invitation Letter

 

To request an invitation letter, please download and fill out the following form ( invitation letter request form ). All fields are required. After the form is completed, please email it to Prof. Hong Man at (hongman1@gmail.com).

 

      The invitation letter will be issued by Beijing University. You will receive your invitation letter through email (unless you specified otherwise).

 

      Invitation letters will be sent to everyone who has requested it by next week.
