We have worked on algorithms, protocols, systems and infrastructure that improve the quality of experience of Real-Time Audio/Video Conferencing.
Multi-Packet Loss Protection. Improve video conferencing performance by protecting multiple packet loss.
Audio Healer: A client-side VoIP technology for packet loss concealment and delay minimization.
Smart Mixer. Reduce delay in VoIP conferences for both enterprises (MCU based) and consumers (P2P based).
Dumb Mixer. To reduce MCU computation with "one-mix-fits-all" plus client-side echo cancellation.
PASS. Developed a Peer Aware Speaker Selection, a generalized voice activity detector for distributed selection of the top k out of n speakers.
Developing Video over IP conferencing where composition, resolution, and bit rate adapt to the set of active speakers.
MutualCast and P2P: Developed real time MutualCast and other P2P distribution methods.
Developed Objective Speech Quality Assessment algorithms.
MSR Flow. a light-weight scalable audio communication tool.
Network Utility Maximization. For optimal distribution of real time video traffic directly, via peers, and/or via relays (such as an MCU).
