News: We have won the 2002 PennySort Trophy!  (April 6, 2002)

 

 

We have just received an Email from Mr. Jim Gray, the sponsor of PennySort and organizer of Sort Benchmark, who confirmed us that we have won the 2002 PennySort in the Daytona category (for commercially supported fastest product), while another team from Department of Computer Sciences at University of Wisconsin-Madison has won in the Indy category (for not commercially supported fastest product)! Our record is listed as followings: 

Daytona:  THSort, 105 million records

The sort rates of 90krps (records per second) or 9MBps represents a 2.5x improvement over the year 2000 record (45M records in 889 seconds on a 1010$ computer.
