Please join us for a panel discussion on computational design, diversity and the changing face of modern developers with guest speakers from our Ambient Creativity hackfest. Bringing together a small group of pioneers in this space, ranging from award winning Agencies to researchers, artists and architects, this talk will explore the blurring line between designers and developers and how open source communities are helping to redefine the way we craft experiences around emerging technology.

Rick Barraza’s work in Technical Evangelism focuses on Design Engineering and creative guidance across Games, Media and Agency engagements. As a core contributor to the Coding 4 Fun team, he is passionate about educating, entertaining and inspiring the next generation of experience driven developers and designers. Before joining Microsoft, Rick Barraza served as the Creative Director and Principal Experience Architect for the technology agency Cynergy and speaks frequently on the intersection of design and emerging technology.

SOFTlab embraces architectural projects that are strange, difficult, blurry and straddle multiple mediums. By mixing research, creativity and technology with a strong desire to make work fun, SOFTlab attempts to create new and unique experiences.
