G2 Microsystems Presents to Microsoft

There has been significant activity on the application of wireless technologies to solve asset management problems across a number of industries. Research analysts indicate that wireless sensors, real-time location systems (RTLS), and telemetry will represent multi-billion dollar opportunities for software companies that can deliver the capabilities demanded by end users. Current applications include asset tracking within a facility; inventory visibility across the supply chain; process or patient monitoring; security or even telemetry. G2 has conducted extensive research with a broad range of end users and has determined that these markets require Digital Identity devices with 4 characteristics that cannot be met with current solutions:

Low total cost of ownership

High degree of functionality and flexibility

Ultra low-power consumption

Transparency

G2 Microsystems has developed the world’s first System-on-Chip (SoC) that meets these requirements for the emerging markets.

The presentation will review

  1. Specific markets and use cases for these applications
  2. Key product requirements for the corresponding solution stack (hardware & software)
  3. Differentiators of a Wi-Fi-based solution versus proprietary solutions or other standards such as ZigBee
  4. G2 Microsystems product to support the solution stack, including specific functionality, performance, and innovations
  5. Opportunities to build the ecosystems to deliver the appropriate solution stack to various industries
