Automatic Vertebrae Localization in Arbitrary Field-of-View CT Scans

In collaboration with the University of Washington, we are developing a system for automatic vertebrae localization and identification in arbitrary field-of-view CT scans. The extracted information about the spinal anatomy yields a patient-specific coordinate system which becomes beneficial for many subsequent analysis tasks such as registration, segmentation, shape and disease modelling.

The video shows exemplary results of our current system.
