Beyond the Phone: How to Rock Harder Using Azure
With the release of both Windows Phone and Windows Azure the world has become an exciting place allowing developers to create scalable applications with relatively little effort. In this session I will take you through the fundamental concepts required to develop for Windows Azure. We will look at the development environment, Windows Azure compute + storage, deployment and the Windows Azure Toolkit for Windows Phone 7. At the end of this session, you should leave empowered to begin building and deploying your own Windows Azure + Windows Phone 7 applications.

Nick Harris is a Technical Evangelist at Microsoft specializing in Windows Azure. Before Microsoft, he founded his own startup AdGAC – a mobile advertising company developed exclusively using Windows Azure, WP7 and ASP.NET MVC. In the 9 years prior, Nick worked as both a consultant and Senior Software Engineer delivering smart client applications, distributed enterprise applications and airborne software systems. While not working you can find him blogging about Windows Azure along with a diverse range of related technical content.
