By Car

The M11 connects the London Orbital Motorway (M25) to
Cambridge. Take Exit 13, turn right at the top of the slip
road onto the A1303 (Madingley Rd) towards the city
centre.

About 1 mile further on take the second right turn
onto JJ Thomson Avenue, then take the first left and the
Microsoft Research building is about 100 metres in front of
you. (It is readily identified by the curved roof.)

Drive in
front of the building and turn left after the bicycle canopy
to the car park at the rear of the building.
You will need
to speak to Security by using the Intercom located at the
barrier on the car park access road. Entry to the building
is via reception at the front of the building.
By Train
- From London King’s Cross Station
Fast
trains run every half hour and the approximate journey time
is 1 hour.
- From London Liverpool
Street
Trains run every hour and the approximate journey time
is 75 minutes. You then need to take a taxi from the
rank at the front of Cambridge train station, the
approximate journey time is 15-25 minutes to the lab.
- Eurostar
All Eurostar services now operate to and from St Pancras International station.

Cambridge to Kings Cross main line station is 50 minutes journey time. St Pancras International is located a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross station via the underground subway.
By Coach
Coaches arrive at Drummer Street in the City Centre. You
then need to take a taxi from the adjacent rank. The journey
time is 10-20 minutes.

Stansted Airport
Stansted is the nearest of the London-area airports
to Cambridge. It is mostly served by flights to and from
mainland Europe, Ireland, and elsewhere in the UK.

Heathrow is the second "London" airport with a wide
range of national, European and international services.

The only airport in London with the focus on the business traveller with 10 minute check in. The airport location provides easy access to the city and motorway links for onward travel in the UK as well as flights to 34 European destinations.
- Other airports
Luton
Airport and other regional airports in the East
Anglia region. If you use these, car or taxi is the best
option for travel to Cambridge.
