Microsoft Research Asia researchers have collaborated with product groups over the years to ship over 200 innovations in Microsoft products. The Innovation Engineering team supports these technology transfers, and fosters new product incubation, by bringing together software design engineers, user experience experts, program managers, business strategists and others to help turn ideas into reality.

Search Technology Center

Microsoft Research Asia and Live Search have partnered to the Search Technology Center (STC) in Beijing, China. Launched in October of 2005, the center is dedicated to advancing the state-of-the-art in search technology and delivering a more intelligent and powerful search experience to Microsoft online users around the world. Our mission is to

• Accelerate innovations by seamlessly combining research and development in Microsoft Research Asia
• Evolve Search platform into an Internet Service platform for the next generation of Internet research and development

The STC team consists of top Researchers in related areas working hand in hand with Engineers to enable a fast innovation model that bridges fundamental research and product development. By combining both Microsoft's research and development talents, STC is creating one of the most versatile, challenging, and fascinating research and development environments in the IT industry.
